Who’s there?
Me.
Me Who?
Me - who wouldn’t be wasting my life knocking on other peoples doors for answers if I knew who I was and what I wanted.
I ran across a Gary Zukav quote today which says “Please… tell me who you are and what you want. And if you think those are simple questions, keep in mind that most people live their entire lives without arriving at an answer.”
Who we are is perhaps the hardest of all questions to answer. I’m mindful today that we struggle with ego because we clenched so tightly to it for so long as a way to indentify ourselves. It seems so easy to summarize ourselves by speaking of religious ties, geographic background, education, sex and ethnicity. Perhaps those things may give the world some context about your life experience - but what has it told them about who you are? Without joining a commune or taking on names like “Sunbeam” can we really do the work to answer life’s simplest and most difficult of questions?
Knock. Knock. Who’s there. I AM
Who is there? It is a hard question to answer indeed! Great post!

I AM.
The only answer for any of us.
