The laws of attraction dictate that energy follows thought. If we think abundantly and live abundantly we will be abundant …right? Eh so racking up credit card debt for caviar and pate to act as though I’m wealthy probably won’t make my lotto ticket hit. I’ve toyed with several ideas and theories on how to get around this. My “Aha” moment came after a long night of wine tasting and Thai food. I don’t need a mantra or affirmation. My life already is abundant.
I have smart savvy friends with broad perspectives and great attitudes. I have a strong healthy body. I have a loving and supportive family. I have a job I love in my dream career. I have had a great education.
On Friday night, these gifts collided and opportunity was born. I went all wine-geek and gave a mini lesson to some girlfriends at one of those enomatic Vino bars. As the night lingered conversations spilled from politics and men to student loans and career choices.
When I mentioned some grant writing I had done, JV, a sassy marketing guru-ess, gave new life into a seedling business idea I’d been inching toward for years.
It’s amazing how organically things come together. In college I added several courses by insisting on a writing minor “for fun”. Two years ago I invested in a week long professional development training. Earlier this year, Carnal Zen was born to make a discipline of writing. In June, I joined the Board of Directors of a local NGO to gain top down experience and created a strategic plan. On a whim last week, I had my brother secure a domain in my legal name “just to have”.
Financial prosperity will come from the relationships, networks, and skill sets we have already been given, not from thinking about a padded bank account and a brand new Aston Martin in the driveway.
Abundance is like air. You don’t have to believe in it. You are already breathing. Your life is already full of gifts. You have everything you need. The dream has already begun.
Yes, you are already living the dream. This is IT! Go you, CZ! I can feel your momentum!

This is spectacular, so true, and simple that people sometimes over look the very gifts that are always there for them. Thank you for the reminder. Wonderful!!
