For me love is freedom. You don't have to be exactly like me, but you have to be okay letting me be who I am.

I agree with Rob love simply is. I think it also goes back to compassion for the self and others, also the respecting of someone for who they are, which in turn is love. Love is all around us, in us, through us, the other stuff are definitions, constructions we have made in order to understand and explain the world, our lives, etc. Loving others starts with loving ourselves and that is an ongoing process. Very well stated and thought provoking Dawn, excellent!

There is this radio shrink talk show hostess and she likes to state "Would you rather be loved or be right?" I always think , can't I be loved for being right? I believe in love but I rarely see it in action where married couples are involved?

I think it can happen, but it's only after YEARS of hard work, and it is work.
Very. Tough. Work.

wonderful post!

love requires nothing, not even a belief in it. Love simply is.

requirements are conditions and are not love.

to love is to love. anything else is simply the ego and is not love.

we have a choice in every minute to experience love regardless of everything and everyone around us. we simply have to choose.
