Carnal Zen is my forum to explore all the ideas, contradictions, religions and credit card bills that pepper my life.

  • There is nailpolish on my sofa cushion and nobody else to blame. 
  • I am avoiding my stuff.  Folding, cooking, cleaning it are all out of the question.
  • I’m wearing his t-shirt, because it’s as close as I can get until he comes home.

It may not sound it, but I feel incredibly thankful today.  Thankful for my messy apartment, the friends who don’t count as visitors, the chance for quiet time that’s not melancholy.  When you are alone but not lonely, you truly know you are loved.  Breathe it in, and leave the dishes in the sink.
